Walnut is a game like none other that has been introduced to the Clubpenguin community. Walnut features a day-by-day gaming experience that makes you feel like it's actually a second life. With similar interface as Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing: Wild World, this game will keep you occupied for a while-- or forever. The game itself has no plot, so it doesn't end. Go fishing, write letters to friends, chat with other players in the City, make new friends, complete tasks and much more. Walnut: coming soon!

We're currently looking for graphic designers and GML programmers. If you have experience in either field, please post here with three of your past works.

Game news: The game development is going great. So far we have completed our day-to-night code, message box and walk cycle. The first demo will be out soon! We still need graphic designers, though, so if you can we would love to have you on the team.

Please post a picture/sprite of the game or i'll have to lock this.

This image shows the alpha room, our current sprite (until we get staff members) and (in the top left corner) the clock. You'll notice it's dark in the game; that's because it's 8:00 AM. The game gets lighter as the day progresses, and then it gets darker yet again at night.

Absolutely. The weather will affect your game play, too; if it's snowing you'll need to wear a special item to keep from getting a cold, if it's raining you can find a special bonus, etc.

EDIT:
Actually, thinking over that again, it might not come out because that is a difficult task to do. I'll update you on it when I see if it works.

I think I've figured it out by using a timeline event to make weather come randomly, but eh... it's still difficult. The weather would be odd. >__>

UPDATE: Alpha 1.0 will be releasing with the developement forum and webpage soon. The first Alpha will not be much, only a few rooms, some clothes, a secret room and (hopefully) a money feature.

That's the thing, we can do that but we might have to make the entire game multiplayer, which ruins the entire experience we are trying to provide, so there might be an online version and a single player version. The online version would just be a chat area, nothing else, where as the single player offers an actual game. Don't expect much from a multiplayer game made by us (unless we say it's a role playing game).

UPDATES: The new minigame is being tested and a video will be released soon. The first alpha is just about done meaning the forum is coming!! WE STILL NEED GRAPHIC DESIGNERS. If you want to apply, feel free to do so by leaving two or more examples of your work in this thread. You must be creating pixelated game graphics, though.

Very soon, just have to fix a glitch in Space Fighters and get some better room graphics.

Space Fighters has been postponed until the actual beta release and will not be appearing with the first alpha test.

The first alpha test will be uploaded tomorrow, along with the website and development forum!! We're excited!

The file type is .exe, which means it's an executable. Executables have been known to carry harmful codes that the publisher has put in, however our file was scanned and approved not to contain malicious content. Since this file contains algorithms, Mac computers cannot play this game. Sorry!

This alpha only lets you walk around by using the arrow keys (←, ↑, ↓, →) and lets you go to one blank room which we call 'null' (by walking over to the house). This doesn't provide much gameplay at all, but it's only an alpha.
